In the summer of 2016 AANDERSSON launched a content crowd-sourcing platform at aandersson.net/flowers to facilitate anonymous digital collaboration in the form of prompted drawing, writing, audio and photography submissions. Thousands of people have contributed in that time and we are now printing selected submissions, accompanied only by a date and time stamp, in order to highlight the individual expression of each contributor. The one-of-a-kind prints are available by preferred content type (ex. flowers, dots, lines) and a random submission is selected to print from the selected content type. In a sense this collection is limited because each submission is never printed more than once. Sizes range from 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm) to 18 x 24 inches (45.7 x 61 cm).
The crowd-sourcing space at aandersson.net is an ever-evolving platform looking for ways to bridge the gap between the everyday person and the designer. By highlighting the individual and collective expressions of the contributors, this project aims to help us discover patterns and quirks in the way we all communicate our visual expressions.
